National Board of Education, NBE has released the result of National Eligibility cum Entrance Test for Postgraduate, NEET PG Result 2019. All those appeared candidates can check the result from the official site of NBE at nbe.edu.in. The site is taking longer to respond due to too many users at one time in either checking or downloading the pdf file from the official site.

The cut-off according to the official release is 340 marks out of 1200 for unreserved category candidates. For SC/ST/OBC category candidates, the cut-off marks are 295. For physically handicapped category, the minimum marks required is 317, according to the official release.

The exam was conducted on January 6 and according to the official notification, the result will be declared on January 31, 2019.  A total of 1,48,000 candidates appeared for the exam across 165 cities. The examination is being conducted on the computer-based platform in one single session.

Individual scorecards will be available for download at the official website, nbe.edu.in. The individual score will be available for download only till February 6, 2019. Post which the link will be deactivated. Candidates will not get the scorecard via post and candidates can download the same by following these steps.

Steps to check NEET PG Result 2019

  • Candidates should visit the official site of NBE at nbe.edu.in.
  • Click on the link NEET PG 2019 Result visible on the home screen.
  • A new page will open where candidates will have to enter their roll number and submit.
  • NEET PG 2019 result will be available on your screen.
  • Download the result and take a print out for further need.

According to reports, many students who had selected Jammu as their exam centre were not able to appear for the exam due to bad weather. The exam was scheduled for January 17, 2019, in Srinagar from 2 to 5:30 pm. A total of 120 candidates were allowed to appear for the re-exam.

In a press release, the NBE had stated that it is committed to giving an opportunity to such affected candidates to appear in NEET PG 2019. It has been decided to hold a separate examination for these affected candidates. The date, time and venue shall be informed in due course.

The validity of NEET PG Result

The NEET PG result is valid only for the current admission session for MD/MS/PG Diploma courses. This cannot be carried forward for the next session of admissions. Candidates have to note that the registration of admissions for the courses is governed by Post Graduate Medical Education Regulations issued by Medical Council of India with prior approval of Central Government and the Judgments of the Honorable Supreme Court of India.
