Madhya Pradesh Board of Secondary Education is a Madhya Pradesh government body responsible for determining all the policy-related, administrative, cognitive, and intellectual direction of the state’s higher educational system. The Madhya Pradesh Board regulates and supervises the system of Intermediate education in the state of Madhya Pradesh. It also executes and governs various activities that include devising of courses of study, prescribing syllabus, conducting examinations, granting affiliations to various colleges. Madhya Pradesh Board of Secondary Education even provides direction, support and leadership for all educational institutions under its jurisdiction. It also runs quite a few model schools such as the Model High, TT Nagar.

Establishment

Under the Madhya Pradesh Legislature, in the sixteenth year of the Republic of India has enacted an Act for the establishment of a Board in order to regulate Secondary Education in Madhya Pradesh and the other ancillary matters. In 1965, this autonomous body was established under the Madhya Pradesh Secondary Education Act of 1965.

Activities

  • Grant affiliation or recognition to schools
  • Prescribe courses and textbooks at both High school and Intermediate level
  • Conduct both High school and Intermediations
  • Provide equivalence to the examinations conducted by other Boards

Academics

The Madhya Pradesh Board of Secondary Education prescribes the syllabus, for students from both Standard IX to Standard XII, for schools affiliated with it and exams whose scores are necessary to gain admission in higher study institutes.

  • Sanskrit, Urdu, Marathi, Bengali, Gujarati, Telugu, Tamil, Punjabi, Sindhi, Malayalam, Persian, Arabic, French, Kannada, Russianor Oriya can be chosen as a language subject in addition to the compulsory Hindi and English languages.

Examination

It conducts three board examinations:

  1. The Middle School Exam for Standard VIII,
  2. High School Certificate Examination for standard X
  3. The Higher Secondary (School) Certificate(HSC) Exam for standard XII, which is a school-leaving examination

  • Enter your details including your roll number and your date of birth

MP Board Result – Previous Year (2017) Statistics

Results bring along nervousness and excitement for the students. However, to ease some of the pressure from the candidates, we have provided some of the key statistics from last year’s Madhya Pradesh Board Result that will help them to understand the level of competition and to keep the expectations realistic.

In 2017, the Madhya Pradesh board result for class XII was declared on May 12, 2017, at 9.30 am. Satyam Jain had topped the exam. He had scored 485 marks out of 500. In total, nearly 20 lakh candidates had appeared for both Class X and Class XII exams.

Last year, for the first time, the Madhya Pradesh Board of Secondary Education introduced a unique Quick Response (QR) code that has helped students access their mark sheets and school documents via the mobile app instead of carrying all the original documents everywhere.

The overall pass percentage of regular students was 67.87%, while that of the private students was just 27.81%. A total of 4,07,950 students were successful out of 6,90,323 students who appeared for the Class XII exams. The Madhya Pradesh High Secondary School Certificate (HSSC) Examination or the Madhya Pradesh 12th Examination 2017, also conducted by the Madhya Pradesh Board of Secondary Education, had begun on March 1, 2017, and got over on March 31, 2017.

Similarly, the Madhya Pradesh Board of Secondary Education or MPBSE declared the Madhya Pradesh Board 10th exam results, on May 12, 2017, at 10.30 am.

The government of Madhya Pradesh has been making efforts to improve the quality of education in the state. Changes in the education policies had been one of them. Over the years, the board results have shown significant improvement in terms of both participation and total pass percentage.

After Checking Madhya Pradesh Board Result 2018

Soon after the announcement of the results, the candidates need to download a digital copy of their results, once it is displayed on the screen. The students should take multiple printouts, for future references, until the time their original mark sheets and passing certificates are received by them. The candidates should also note that these printouts are considered as provisional results for the admission process for further studies by various universities and schools until the verification of original documents, which usually arrives through the respective school administration.
